WHO WE ARE

We are a church of ordinary people who worship our extraordinary God. Far from perfect, we are a congregation of redeemed sinners who have found forgiveness, freedom, and hope in the person of Jesus Christ. Having experienced his life-changing grace, we seek to learn what it means to love God with all of our being, and to love our neighbours as ourselves. As a congregation, we are committed to helping each other follow Jesus in every area of life, so that together we might be a church that glorifies God and brings good to our neighbourhood, city, and world. OUR HISTORY

Rowandale Baptist Church began in 1953 and since that time has grown and moved three times. You can see more of our story here. We have been at our present location since 1965 and have become a fixture in the beautiful Fraser’s Grove community of North Kildonan. We are conveniently located half a block west of Henderson Highway and are easily accessible by car or public transit.

OUR MISSION

Our Mission at Rowandale is to glorify God by equipping and enabling disciples to make disciples, and is best summed up by what is known as The Great Commission that Jesus gave his followers: “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20; CSB)

OUR BELIEFS

Rowandale is a member church in the North American Baptist Conference. Together with 400 other member churches, we adhere to the NAB Statement of Faith that was adopted in 1989 and amended in 2009.
